All good things, like this wonderful series, must come to an end. On My Block will finish with season 4, as Netflix has officially announced, and they're fulfilling their word. On social media, the cast members have been posting farewell notes as viewers tune in to the last episodes.

Netflix announced on April 12, 2023, that Freeridge had been cancelled, although no reason was given. It is likely that the show's poor metrics, including low completion rates and high costs, contributed to the decision.
While there has been no official statement as to why the show is ending it has little to do with popularity. On My Block was reported as the most binged show in 2018 beating the likes of 13 Reason Why and The Haunting of Hill House. So why is it ending? It most likely has to do with money.
Freeridge is one of the first major comedy releases on Netflix of 2023, but it won't be back for more as it was canceled a couple of months after its initial debut.

On October 8th, Netflix announced the four main cast members of the series: Bryana Salaz is Ines, Keyla Monterroso Mejia is Gloria, Ciara Riley Wilson is Demi, and Shiv Pai who was initially set to play Cameron. Replacing Pai in the role of Cameron will be Tenzing Trainor.
